SCAM

I, like many other people who have reviewed, thought that this sounded like a great deal when I was shopping at Sams Club and the Just Energy people approached me. They led me to believe that I would be saving money on my natural gas bill and my bill has not went down at all, in fact it has went up! They get you by approaching you in a Sams Club, who you would think is a reputable company and would not pair up with a company who would lead you to believe you will be saving money. I recently received a bill from my gas company that I owe a large amount of money so I called and we went over the bill and I found out that Just Energy is actually making a lot of money off me and I had no idea since they mislead me with their information to get me to sign up. Who has all their gas bills while they are shopping at Sams Club to compare apples to apples.
WHAT A JOKE!
Stay away from Just Energy. They will take your money instead of saving you promised money.

Hijacked

I didn't authorize Just Energy a Texas company when I'm in Michigan to provide services. Very shady company, you may consider avoiding them at all costs. Almost twice the cost of the local provided.

Deceptive sales practice

Signed up to try new company for natural gas. With variable rates they would cap at .79 cents per ccf. Dte was charging .29 cents per ccf and then a charge for distribution and recovery added to it for a total of 1.03 total cost. Just energy immediately charged me their .79 cent cap plus I was still charged distribution and recovery by DTE making my per ccf cost 1.38 plus another. 10 cent charge on top of there max cap price. I cancelled my account with them and they continued to charge me the agreed upon cap price of .79 plus a .10 that I don't r recall being discussed for the next month. My has bill would have been 226.47 with DTE and is instead 311.18 just energy. They are bullshit and will cheat you anyway they can buyer BEWARE!!!! They are Not what they say... read fine print and remember if it sounds to good to be true it isn't real.

I WOULD GIVE A ZERO OR NEGATIVE STARS IF I COULD

They caught my attention at sam's club. SOLD ME ON A BUNCH OF MISINFORMATION and promised gift cards as well. I was told my bill would not go up from what I was paying. I asked multiple times because I am on a fixed income. They trap you in a contract. I asked if it was a contract and they said NO. I was told I would receive one gift card in the mail in a COUPLE WEEKS and one in about a MONTH via email. THIS IN NOT THE CASE. IN THIER FINE PRINT THE FIRST ONE IS SENT AFTER THE FIRST bill has been paid and one after 90 days via email. THIS GIVES THEM JUST LONG ENOUGH TO CHARGE me 3x what I would have paid with my regular gas provider!!! My gas provider was charging me .21 and they are charging me .61!! THEY ARE SCAMMING PEOPLE AND THEY KNOW IT. THEIR REPS SPREAD WRONG INFO TO SIGN YOU UP AND THEN everything real is in the fine print in the contract. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THIS COMPANY!!! I even called to cancel with their 1800 number and they lied to me AGAIN and said the reason my bill went up was because there was more days of that month in the billing cycle. I KNEW THAT WAS A LIE AS I HAD JUST GOT OFF THE PHONE WITH MY gas company and they explained the difference in what they were charging me vs what JUST ENERGY was charging me. That was the REAL reason my bill went up. Not the LIES JUST ENERGY was feeding me. PLEASE DO NOT FALL FOR THEIR SCAM!!!
